Proudly American Made — And Proud of What That Really Means

The current state of affairs saddens me…
Too often, we’re turning away from the very people and values that built this nation. At a time when we should be opening doors, we’re closing them. And that’s not the America I believe in.

At Philadelphia Table Company, we’re proud to be American made. But that phrase means more to us than flags and factories. It means people. It means purpose. And it means standing for the values this country was built on — even when it’s hard.

America’s greatness has never come from sameness. It comes from the bold mix of backgrounds, stories, cultures, and voices that make up this land. From immigrants who crossed oceans with hope in their hearts, to the brave individuals who challenged the status quo — this country has always been shaped by those who didn’t fit the mold.

The Statue of Liberty doesn’t say, “Only some are welcome.” It says, “Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” That’s the promise. That’s the soul of this place.

At PTC, we believe the best teams are built the same way. We look for people who bring excellence, heart, and perspective — no matter who they are or where they come from. To close the door on someone because of their origin, their identity, or who they love would be to cut ourselves off from everything that makes this country — and our company — stronger.

And yet, we see it happening. Walls being built. Voices being silenced. Talent being overlooked. People being told they don’t belong.

We refuse to be part of that.

This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not the land of “only if you fit in.” If you're a business owner, ask yourself — are you building a team that reflects the full beauty of this country? Or are you letting fear write your hiring policy?

Because here’s the truth: when we open our doors, we open our future. The land was made for everyone. Let’s never forget that.
